$32.00

I spent a whole thirty-two bucks at the show yesterday. I agree with mum that they are 'money-wasters'. How I wish I fit under the child category, I could have got in for five bucks...instead, it cost twelve.

I just lost my train of thought, and I'm pretty sure that a woman with crazy, blond hair and what appeared to be a Santa-Hat on just walked past the side window...

But its probably the fairy floss talking.

Anyway, yes the show. Condo show. The place to be. It was pretty fun. I went on a ride, screamed my heart out [not out of terror of the ride mind you, but out of the thoughts running through my head about how well those things are put together] and then when I got off the ride I couldn't speak. And my throat really hurt. Stupid ride.

Ah gotta love the show. Oh and I found two bucks!

Future

The best thing about the future is that it only comes one day at a time.

I know not what the future holds, but I know who holds the future.

Fear not for the future, weep not for the past.

Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose.

The longer you wait for the future, the shorter it will be.

Doomsday

The end of the world is near. Or maybe just Condo's world...
I was at work today at the cafe and I was clearing the tables from outside when the strangest character of a man walked past with a determined look on his face. He was wearing a floppy brimmed hat and daggy clothes. He was kinda short and old. This fellow walked several meters, than stopped, standing there for about a minute and looking around. Turning on his heel he walked back past me in the other direction and glanced at me.."this town is going down!" he said violently. I was alarmed.
What did he mean?
I was also slightly amused and I wanted to laugh outright.
Instead I just looked very serious and nodded as if I agreed with him.
Strange character.

Catherine the Great

As I'm sure you'll come to realise, I love History. I wonder if you can get that on a T-shirt...Anyway, today I was reading about Catherine the Great from Russia. I think she was a really brave woman. She went to Russia to marry this guy named Peter who was next in line to the Throne, but he turned crazy on her. First he was very handsome and kind[ but very mean to his servants], and then he caught the smallpox during his and Catherine's engagement and his face became hideous and scarred and disgusting. She married him anyway because she was to afraid to say no. He was rude and ignored his wife. She gave birth to his son and didn't even get to see the baby for 6 weeks because the Empress, Peter's mother, whisked the baby away and wanted to raise him herself. The Empress soon died and Peter went even more off his rocker and no one liked him so Catherine plotted to take over the throne. All this while she was pregnant with his second child. Crazy woman.
Anyway in the end Catherine ruled for thirty years. She wasn't the best ruler, and tried to hide from the fact that her peasants were starving but a lot of her subjects loved her.
There is a bit of a history lesson for you.

If dolls could talk

Today I packed two boxes. For those of you who don't know...we are moving again. Back to Dubbo. Hopefully this time to stay. Anyway, as I was packing up a box of trinkets, I looked at the small porcelain doll in my hand. I hadn't really 'seen' her sitting on my shelf all these years, but for some reason I remember packing her all the times we've moved. Which is a lot. I tried to recollect how many times I had packed her up in paper and in a cardboard box, but I couldn't remember. She could probably tell me.

Jesus on the wall.

Look closely at the four dots in the center of this picture for 30 seconds. Then, stare straight at a blank piece of wall and blink a few times. Who do you see!!!???

This is really cool.

Is it an A? Is it it a B? No,its a C.

Exams today. Jordan, being the youngest, got to go first. Lucky her. Emily went next. Then I had to wait for 15 minutes while the examiner ate her morning tea. Her morning tea? Doesn't she care about my nerves? Obviously not.

Anyway, I'm glad I passed...and Emily and Jordan did very well:)

Besides, C most probably stands for cool.

Piano Exams

I am so nervous. Tomorrow I have a piano exam in Forbes. I've never been good with the whole exam thing. That would be why I've only ever done two exams in my six or seven years of playing piano. I'm going to try and pass this 4th grade exam with flying colours, but I'm afraid I'll freeze up when the examiner stares down at me with her piercing eyes and says " please start by playing B flat major in similar motion for four octaves."
That would ruin my day. An A+ would be awesome. I think I'd be happy if I got a B or even a C. But I won't push my luck.
